Japan: Japan’s disaster: Is it a warning?
Or Theological Prediction
Jesus and John the Baptist
Theological predictions and literary fantasies are here in person and in wrath.
The third and the last time Jesus visited Jerusalem, seeing the money changers and the crooked merchants having a field day in the court yard of the temple, cheating the poor, He became so angry he picked a whip and rushed through the court yard tearing everything apart. Not along that nobody raised a hand against him but they all ran away leaving everything behind. He then marched to the front of the temple and declared the destruction of Jerusalem. It was not a prediction , it was not a prophecy it was declaration which sounded like a curse and that was one of the reasons Jesus was crucified. In the year of about 70 AD, Titus Vespasian marched into Jerusalem and destroyed the entire city.
John the Baptist predicted the same thing from his dungeon way before Jesus made the declaration. The reason for the destruction was the way the people lived.
Mary Shelley
Almost 2,000 years later a 19 year old girl, Mary Shelley, wrote a book describing the creation of the monster of Doctor Frankenstein.
Her aim was to tell the world that man can build something bigger and stronger than man himself, which eventually will would kill his maker.
I like, regrettably, to declare to my readers that the Monster of Doctor Frankenstein is here in a the shape of Nuclear Power.
Jesus and John the Baptist did not name any monster, th
e implied monster was the greed of people. Because of greed we went ahead and constructed so many nuclear power plants in such a short time.
The end of the world will not come because of one nation throwing an atomic bomb on another; oh no, they are all afraid to do that, but it will come from those nuclear power stations that are now standing silent all over the world. They are Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein’s Monsters, hiding atoms which are dying to get out and cover the world. Can you, people, imagine what is going to happen in Europe having 124 such stations, if one goes bad. Read this and cry out loud so the world can hear you: some of those nuclear power plants are standing in countries where the inhabitants only know how to raise goats and sheep. Look what is taking place in Japan, in one of the highest academically and technically educated people in the world, cannot put out the fire.
Can anyone imagine what can happen in California in a case of earthquake? The movie The Night of the Living Dead will look like a child’s play comparing to the real thing. We are approaching the world of reality, the unbearable world of reality.
One may say that there is nothing new about my article; it may be true, but I am a novelist and good novelists write of something that has happened but he indicates that history repeats itself and good readers will began to think of something that they knew but never thought about it. Everybody will think when one goes to the supermarket and finds the price of spinach bigger than the price of t-bone steak. That is the real truth. Go ahead and tell me that the truth is not nearer than you thought.
