Wake up and Smell the coffee
The Life and Activities of the only animal on earth that never dies.
It has been reported that over 800 of these, some of them grow to several feet stretched themselves on the beach of Florida
Swimmers and turists ran away after 40 of them were stung and two had to be hospitalized. That creature is the Jellyfish. The creature’s sting is just as annoying as the bee sting except if some one is allergic
That’s not so terrible, but jellyfish is on the offensive and they come in big sizes and in big numbers. That’s not so serious either, but the seriousness comes in when we learned that the jellyfish is the only living species that never dies from natural causes.
Maximum life span is a measure of the maximum amount of time one or more members of a population has been observed to survive between birth and death. It has also been reported that the jellyfish survives between death and birth, that has gotten many scientists very concerned and some have written books claiming the end of the world may come from the jellyfish overpopulation and it’s not very far off. This not a rumor of “Judgement Day”, this a true calculation of several serious minded and well educated people. This is the “Real McCoy”
Let us understand and believe one thing that jellyfish will be a problem in the future but it’s a well known and a proven fact that contact with a jellyfish tentacle can trigger millions of nematocysts to pierce the skin and inject venom, yet the sting of only some jellyfish species causes an adverse reaction in humans. When a nematocyst is triggered by contact by predator or prey, pressure builds up rapidly inside it up to 2,000 lbs/sq. inch until it bursts open. A lance inside the nematocyst pierces the victim’s skin, and poison flows through into the victim. Touching or being touched by a jellyfish can be very uncomfortable, sometimes requiring medical assistance; sting effects are ranging from no effect to extreme pain and to death. The Jellyfish’s origin is the Caribbean Sea, but it’s now found all over the world’s oceans and some lakes. It has effected fishing, swimming and tourism in many places. Many times has been broadcast, in Japan and in several places tourists and fishermen could not go near the water. In Australia, two men have recently died from the sting of the jellyfish.
