Let it be Light

What I write is not a blog or news articles it is a

part of prewritten history, which will be printed

for future generations and “YOU WERE

THERE”.

There was light and the Arabia world woke up. “This is the same as ‘Islamic Awakening,’ which is the result of the victory of the big revolution of the Iranian nation,” said Ayatollah Ali

A word from the editor: I wished you would tell your people to wake up and smell the roses, instead of each other’s blood

Their Deeds

Egypt Revolution

It started with simple demonstration in January 25 2011, DEMANDING THAT THE PRESIDENT OF Egypt Hosni Mubarak reform some socio-economic matters which had stripped the people of any hope. It was peaceful demonstration and it slowly came to a disobedient uprising until Anarchy Was Born.

That non-violent civil resistance which turned into anarchy was performed by millions of people of protesters from a variety of classes, religious backgrounds, and the overflow of goats thieves from other Arab countries instead of demanding reform of socio-economic status they demanded the overthrow of the regime of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.                             Despite being predominantly peaceful in nature, the revolution was not without violent clashes between security forces and protesters. The uprising took place in Cairo, Alexandria, and in other cities in Egypt, and it was a copy-cat of the Tunisian Revolution that saw the overthrow of the long-time Tunisian president.                                                                                                                                             On 11 February year 20011, following weeks of determined popular protest and pressure, the Egyptian president threw in the towel.

That did not stop the fired up protestersGrievances of Egyptian protesters were fattened up by focusing now, on legal and political issues, including police brutality, lack of free elections freedom of speech uncontrollable corruption, and economic issues including high unemployment, The situation was pretty bad but the anarchism brought it to the point, “All the king’s knights and all the king’s men couldn’t put it back together again”

At last the Egyptian President resigned, there was no applauding and hatred from every man woman and even child covered the air and the death toll had reached about 840 and 6,000 wounded.                                                Even though the president had resigned the Anarchy became stronger. The capital city of Cairo was turned into “A War Zone” and the port city of Suez became a field of violent clashes between protesters and police. The government imposed a curfew that protesters defied and that the police and military did not enforce. The presence of Egypt’s security forces, loyal to Mubarak, was gradually replaced by largely restrained military troops. In the absence of police, there was looting and vandalism by gangs that opposition sources that had come from other countries, particularly hard line Islam said were instigated by plainclothes police officers. In response, watch groups were organized by civilians to protect neighborhoods.

History will tell but history has the tendency of magnifying small things and downgrading the big ones. It is true that every page of history, is telling the story of people or countries history will show that there is acme and nadir. There is also a group of good people and bad people. I will not be able to give white hats to the good people and black hats to the bad, I shall just say the story and the readers will pass out the hats. Being familiar with the names and deeds of the main characters of Egypt Revolution, I will make an honest attempt to write a brief history of their life.

As I see now the main character in this event of the Egypt Revolution is Hosni Mubarak who came to power and became the head of Egypt in 1981 following the assassination of President Anwar El Sadat, that made him the longest serving President in Egypt’s history, Mubarak’s government earned the support of the West and a continuation of annual aid from the United States by maintaining policies of suppression towards Islam militants and peace with Israel and he was often compared to an Egyptian pharaoh by the media and by some of his critics due to his authoritarian rule

Mubarak was born on 4 May 1928, in Kaqfr-El_Mesethata, Egypt. Upon completion of high school, he joined the Egyptian MILITARY ACADEMY, where he received a degree in military science and later on he received a degree in Aviation Sciences. Hosni Mubarak is married to Suzanne and has two sons: Alaa, and Gamal

. As an Egyptian Air Force officer serving, in various formations and units, he climbed up the Air Force ladder to become one of the most important officers. He spend two years in the Soviet Union trained for a pilot for Soviet made airplanes which Egypt had bought from Russia.

Mubarak became Commander of the Air Force and Egyptian Deputy Minister of Defence in 1972. In the following year his military career reached its highest point when he was promoted to Air Chief Marshal in recognition of service during the October War with Israel of 1973. Mubarak has been credited in some publications for Egypt’s initial strong performance in the 1973 war against Israel and the crossing of the Egyptian army into the other side of Suez canal, the victory Israelis refused to accept as their defeat

n April 1975, Mubarak was appointed by Sadat as Vice President of Egypt. In this position, he loyally served Sadat’s policies. He took part in government consultations that dealt with the future disengagement of forces agreement with Israel.

As part of his support for Sadat’s policies, he went in early September 1975 on a mission to Riyath  and Damascus to convince the Saudi Arabian, and Syrian governments to accept the disengagement agreement signed with the Israeli government, but was refused a meeting by the Syrian President         Al-Asaad, because he was already in bed with Iran.

At the time of the assassination of President Sadat in October, 1981 by a Jihad cell in the military led by Lieutenant Khalid Islambouli, Hosni Mubarak became the fourth president of Egypt, and the Chairman of the National Democratic Party. He was the longest serving President of Egypt, his term lasting 29 years.

Until Libya’s suspension from the Arab League at the beginning of the 2011 Libyan Riots, Egypt was the only state in the history of the organization to have had its membership suspended, due to President Sadat’s peace treaty with Israel. However, in 1989, eight years after Sadat’s Assassination, Egypt was re-admitted as a full member, and the League’s headquarters were relocated to their original location in Cairo

Before I go into the lives of the other main characters of the EGYPT REVOLUTION, I would like to take the time to bring you up to date with the mentality and the status of the revolution and the attitude of the protesters.

We know and have been convinced that Mubarak is ill and under arrest and under doctors’ care. It is common in high profile cases for the defendant to become sick, either mentally or physically, to avoid prosecution .A perfect example is  Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, the only man convicted in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, which killed all 259 people on board and 11 on the ground on 21 Dec. 1988.                                                                                                                                                                     On 25 July 2009, Megrahi applied to be released from jail on compassionate grounds. His lawyer Maggie Scott threatened the court with second appeal also asked for documents relating to an alleged payment of $2 million made to Maltese merchant, Tony Gauci for his testimony at the trial, which led to the conviction of Megrahi. Maggie Scott, Tony Gauci was one of the first suspects because the suitcase that had the bomb stored was bought from his store in Malta, He was questioned by the authorities 23 times and all of those times his story did not correspond. He suddenly became the main witness for the prosecution that helped convict Megrahi. She claimed that her client was suffering from  terminal prostate cancer. For this reasons do you think his controversial release was granted? No! Then, why was he released? Compensation from  Libya. On 29 May 2002, Libya offered up to US$2.7 billion to settle claims by the families of the 270 killed in the Lockerbie bombing, representing $10 million per family. The Libyan offer was that

  • 40% of the money would be released when United Nations sanctions, suspended in 1999, were cancelled;
  • another 40% when US trade sanctions were lifted; and

the final 20% when the US State Department removed Libya from its list of states sponsoring terrorism.                                                                                                                                              Kreindler of New York law firm Kreindler & Kreindler, which mastermind and orchestrated the settlement received $300,000,000.He is looking for more because he claims that he had many unforeseen expenses. How many lobbyists and people with authority did he have to pay off? .He is a New York lawyer who wears a tailor made suits with 17 pockets to put people of authority in. Remember and don’t let anybody to tell you anything different, the whole job was done with $2.7 billion dollars, not because the judges took pity for him.                                                                     Mubarak has more than that in his back pocket. Do you think he is going to jail? The protesters, when it comes to that issue, are protesting for nothing and if any blood is shed it will be shed for nothing.
