African Mango: Myth or Fact

wild west snake oil salesman One of the most important subjects that I can write about is the subject  HEALTH: BODY AND MIND Oceans of books about the subject have been written, some bearing waves bigger than tsunami that confused the fairest minds in the world. The subject of HEALTH: BODY AND MIND, which mainly deals with the health and the life span of the people is the most complicated subject of them all…Some writers had the nerve of simplifying the subject to a laughing extend, I read an article written by a well known doctor of nutrition, declaring that he had 5 secrets to make everybody to live over 100 years. The most sad part about his article was not the secrets he referred to, which were familiar to me since I was six years old and of course they were no secrets at all, it was the fact over 8,000 read had read it and 82% of them commented that they had learned many good things from his article. It may be true Abraham Lincoln saying that “You cannot fool all the people all the time,” but who cares if you can fool 82% of the people all the time.  Have written 5 articles and posted them on this web site and every time I get new information about the subject, I write about it. The subject of the African Mango has come to my attention and I did much research on it and this is what I have found many good things. Celebrities, show hosts and other movers and shakers of the industry called African Mango (mentioning no specific brand) a “miracle in your medicine cabinet that can help you lose 10 pounds,” sales of the fruit have skyrocketed, making it now one of the most popular weight-loss product in America today.

There is an old Greek saying: “When you hear of a lot of cherries hanging from the cherry trees Last year, I learned Dr Oz featured African Mango on his TV show and website, where he listed it as a “daily must” for losing weight, hearing that made my ears to perk and my eyebrows to elevate, the mango was referred to as supplement instead of fruit to lose weight. The way that the African mango works for weight loss is in speeding up the body’s metabolism. Toxins block the body’s ability to absorb the proper nutrients and energy needed to burn fat and increase metabolism. When this happens, the body is at a stalemate and cannot burn the fat needed for weight loss. That opinion is disputable; the recommended intake of carbohydrates is easily burned with nothing left to turn to fat. But to make matters better when African mango extract is ingested, it eliminates nutrient blocking toxins which allows the body to acquire the energy it needs to burn the leftovers before they turn to fat. Initially, researchers believed that the antioxidants were mostly responsible for the weight losses that were noted in testing. But further studies, in particular this study, performed in 2009, proved the benefits were far too great to be from these reasons alone. They found that Irvingia Gabonensis, which the mango extract  has a natural ability to act as very strong appetite suppressant, actually influencing t actually influencing the way your brain works. I expected that twist The word supplement means to me that the item is attached to another item. I was right: a study shows that the African Mango alone will not accomplish its goal it has to be accompanied with a regular diet and exercises, it is indicated by the experts that African mango is a powerful weight loss aid. This means that African mango should not be a substitute for proper diet and exercise. To be fair I want to give you some special interests of the fruit.

This fruit is only growing in the western parts of the rainforest of Cameroun Internet searches reveal countless blog African mango, or bush mango, differs from other mango fruits in that it produces a peculiar seed, which natives of Cameroon refer to as “Dikka nuts.” Postings and Facebook messages, calling African Mango, “The hottest new way to lose weight” and “a weight loss supplement without side effects.”  A Study: Reduces 12.3 Pounds of Body Fat Every 28 Days.

Dr. Oz. called African Mango a “breakthrough supplement” and a “miracle in your medicine cabinet” while introducing the supplement on his show The brightly-colored tropical fruit is found exclusively in Cameroon’s west-coastal rainforests. For hundreds of years, an extract from the seeds called irvingia gabonensis have been used among Cameroon villagers for its wide-ranging medicinal benefits, which range from reducing and preventing obesity to lowering cholesterol to regulating blood sugar to treating infections.                                                                                               Recommended by Leading Doctors for Safe Weight Loss While a popular weight-loss treatment in Africa, That is an exaggeration of the truth because 60% of the people in Cameroun live under the poverty line, how and with what can they get fat to require weight loss products, while most of them are underweight of lack of food? I am familiar with the culture of Cameroun. I have written articles about the Nigeria which is Cameroon’s neighbor                                  Compared to other African countries,

Cameroon enjoys relatively high political and social stability. This has permitted the development of agriculture, roads, railways, and large petroleum and timber industries. Nevertheless, large numbers of Cameroonians live in poverty as subsistence farmers.  Cameroon’s per-capita GDP (Purchasing power parity) was estimated as US$2,300 in 2008, one of the ten highest in sub-Saharan Africa. Major export markets include France, Italy, South Korea, Spain, and the United Kingdom.. Notice USA was no mentioned and if US was using so much mango the USA name would have been up there. Cameroon has enjoyed a decade of strong economic performance, with GDP growing at an average of 4 percent per year. Most agriculture is done at the subsistence scale by local farmers using simple tools. They sell their surplus produce, and some maintain separate fields for commercial use. Urban centers are particularly reliant on peasant agriculture for their foodstuffs. Soils and climate on the coast encourage extensive commercial cultivation of bananas, cocoa, oil palms, rubber, and tea. Inland on the South Cameroon Plateau, cash crops include coffee, sugar, and tobacco. Coffee is a major cash crop in the western highlands, and in the north, natural conditions favor crops such as cotton, groundnuts, and rice.

Street Vendor in Douala Note that Mango was never mentioned with any of the above products The reason I am bringing those small incidentals to your attention is for you not to be a blind follower. Many people of commerce have the tendency of taking something good, trying to make it to look better to the public, began to add lies.                                       There are ways, before you invest one dime, try to find out whether these so call African mango advocates are selling SNAKE OIL or the real McCoy. It has been mentioned in many articles that Dr. Oz joined Opra Wintry in her showing applauding the significance of the new diet fruit, but Opra is still a little chubby. African Mango only recently became popular in America when on September 13, 2010; the slimming super fruit was featured on one of America’s most popular TV shows.   On the show, the host, who is also one of America’s preeminent medical doctors, called African Mango a “breakthrough supplement” and “a miracle in your medicine cabinet which can help you lose 10 pounds.”                       Other leading professor of biochemistry at Cameroon’s University of Yaounde, calls African Mango a highly effective natural alternative for reducing body fat and improving overall health. “Studies have shown supplementation [with African Mango extract significantly reduced bodyweight, total blood cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides,” says Dr. Ngondi. “Its use should be further encouraged for the purposes of control of dietary lipids as well as for weight reduction.” Americans Swear by African Mango’s Slimming Benefits Beware of Low-Quality African Mango from China.  With the recent publicity and fanfare surrounding African Mango, it’s no surprise that sites are popping up all over the Internet claiming to offer African Mango at bargain-basement prices. However, according to a recent report published by Consumer Laboratories, Inc., an independent testing organization, that reviews health and wellness supplements, a lot of these products, which are often imported from China, have less African Mango than indicated by their labels and have other ingredients and artificial fillers. How to Find a Quality African Mango Product According to consumer and Better Business ratings, the 100% Pure African Mango product is considered one of the most effective and trustworthy, with laboratory tests certifying the product’s potency and quality.

In order for me to be fair to my readers I realized in researching in terms of weight loss, the African Mango contains loads of Vitamin B. Vitamin B helps to increase metabolism for carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. In metabolizing these products, which are attached to our foods, with the aid of the consumption of Africa mango, the body in return has more energy to exercise which leads to increase in fat burning energy. Also vital to weight loss is the production of Adiponectine. Adiponectine is a hormone that regulates how the body absorbs glucose. Adiponectine also increase blood flow for better circulation.

Thailand Mangoes

Finally, I am under the impression that other types of mangos carry the above ingredients. I have lived in Thailand for over two years and I know that Thai people eat a lot of mangos and it’s a rare case to see an overweight Thai person in Thailand.

I have come to believe from the research I made of the Mango, it has done all it could to be called and deserve the  title of Miracle Fruit.
